System Description: This system stores chemical information and inventory data in a centralized database for the entire site. The system provides the location, throughout the site, of chemicals and trade-name products containing chemicals. The system links a product to a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and generates inventory and information reports necessary for meeting environmental and occupational regulations. Manually updated, the system contains approximately 28,445 records. Other data includes MSDS types, chemical abstract reference numbers, manufacturer product numbers, chemical or product synonyms, manufacturer codes and names, approvals for onsite use and dates of approval, special approval information, chemical or product forms and states, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act standards, chemical formulas, areas in which chemicals are used, and the average amounts stored.
