Series Description: This series consists of logbooks that record the results from onsite and offsite air and water monitoring stations. Offsite monitoring stations are located at Aiken Airport, SC; Allendale, SC; Barnwell, SC; Bush Field, GA; Columbia, SC; Greenville, SC; Langley, SC; Macon, GA; Savannah, GA; Waynesboro, GA; and Williston, SC. Information includes date of filter installation, date of filter removal, operating hours, average flow rate, and remarks. Information concerning streams includes date of sample, percentage full of sample container, operation of the drip sampling device, stream flow, condition of equipment, thyac readings, and remarks. Monitoring instruments include rainwater meters, film badges, filters, silica gels, dehumidifiers, and charts. Radiation is also measured by uptake of pollution sensitive lichen species. Data is recorded simply in numerical values, without specific reference to units of measurement.
