Series Description: This series consists of studies prepared for the Department of Energy and Rockwell International by various subcontractors which discuss the effects of natural phenomena, such as earthquakes, tornadoes, and wind, on plutonium recovery buildings and equipment. The studies are titled Final Report, Geologic and Seismologic Investigation for Rocky Flats Plant, Volume 2 (Volume 1 is missing); Seismic Hazard Analysis of DOE Sites (1978, 1982 and 1986); and Study of Vital Equipment at the Rocky Flats Plant for Forces Produced by Natural Phenomena, Volume I (1981). Included are a seismic survey of the Northern Golden Fault, historical research concerning a November 7, 1882, earthquake in the Rocky Mountain region, and charts of earthquake spatial distributions.
