Series Description: The Background Sampling Records consist of computer-generated reports and log sheets which apparently were used to monitor radiation levels of unspecified background samples, probably air. Data include efficiency ratios, test start and end times, and levels of alpha and beta radiation (given in counts per minute). Accession Number 434-91-0046 (Box 49779) has a log of background readings from a "FIDLER" instrument; Accession Number 434-93-0030 (Box 722964) has background sampling data from the "Tennelec #1."
