Series Description: This series consists of records relating to the handling and storage of nuclear materials. The records contain correspondence; progress and cost reports; procedures manuals; reports of, and explanations for, "book physical inventory differences" [missing plutonium]; and drum counter lists. Accession Number C308 contains records created after the May 1969 fire in Building 776, which note the dates, serial numbers, and weight in grams for each plutonium component removed from the fire site. Also included is an organizational chart for the Decontamination Group.
