Series Description: This series consists of volumes which were used to track the control numbers assigned to materials manufactured by vendors, including American Car and Foundry Industries. The logs list material control and purchase order numbers, vendor names, part numbers, quantities, samples, heat numbers, alloys, dates sent to the laboratory, dates released, and remarks. Categories in the logs include Category "J" Forgings, Bar Stock, Raw Stock, Hardware, SS [Stainless Steel] Plating, Case Pressing, Bonding, and In-Process Forgings.
