Series Description: This series consists of specifications for machinery, equipment, and building materials to be used for onsite construction projects, particularly for the Plutonium Recovery and Waste Treatment Facility (Buildings 371/374). The records contain general, design, performance, mechanical, quality, and shipment requirements; shop drawing indexes; construction component tests; architectural drawings; and blueprints. Also included are specifications for cooling and fire safety systems, radiation monitoring equipment, piping, control board operations, and many others. Accession Number 434-81-0001 (Box 916824) contains "special construction" specifications for gloveboxes which describe window frames, glove rings, gloveport covers, a criticality drain trap, and corrosion-resistant linings.
