Condition: Good

Medium: Paper

Scanning Suitability: Series consists of ledger-sized, computer-generated reports with handwritten data.

Duplication: Records in TBF 183 are to be microfilmed.

Arrangement: Generally by radionuclide under analysis (e.g., americium, plutonium, and uranium), thereafter chronologically, thereafter by sample number; some records are first arranged chronologically.

Originating Office: Dow Chemical Company and Rockwell International

Series Description: The Bioassay Records consist of worksheets and computer-generated reports, most of which document the alpha levels of americium, plutonium, and uranium in urine, fecal, and noseswipe samples. Sampling data include dates and times, volumes, volumes and types of spikes (if any), and results. Some reports also note employee names and identification numbers next to the respective sample results. This series also includes correction sheets, which indicate errors in the sampling results and provide the corrected data. Accession Number 434-82-0069 (Box 964169) contains radiochemical analyses of autopsy tissue, presumably of former employees (no personal identifiers are given).
