Series Description: The Land Acquisition and Use Records consist of correspondence, photographs, maps, and reports concerning the purchase and use of land surrounding Rocky Flats. Most of the records relate specifically to the creation of a buffer zone between the plant and neighboring residential areas. The series includes a 1954 map of Rocky Flats; a list of landowners from whom property was originally purchased; a 1972 report titled Utilization, Disposition, and Acquisition of Federal Real Property; various maps of buildings and facilities; and a study of land utilization at Rocky Flats.
