Series Description: This series consists of radiation exposure records for employees at Clinton Laboratory, now known as Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The records were created to track and study employee exposure rates. The series includes the following records: reports titled Individual Pocket Meter, six-month and weekly exposure records, Requests for Non-Routine Film Processing, and Special Badge Meter Reports

Individual Pocket Meter reports provide employee names, badge numbers, supervisors' names, daily and weekly exposure measurements, and dates.

Six-month exposure records contain pocket and film meter results. Pocket meter readings are recorded in numerical ranges (e.g., 0-10, 15-25) for OS [off-scale], DNR [did not return], and TSR [total significant readings]. Film meter results include the categories OW [open window] and S [shield] for beta and gamma and gamma readings respectively. Film meter readings also have the category AD [assigned dosage], which appears to indicate the sum of the pocket and film meter readings. These records include employee names and payroll numbers.

Weekly monitoring records provide exposure levels for SEN [sensitive film] and INS [insensitive film], with open window and shield subheadings. They also include employee names and payroll numbers.

Requests for Non-Routine Film Processing forms contain employee names, badge numbers, job locations, types of work performed, and dates on which exposure records were requested and required. Monitoring results are given in SEN and INS, with OW and S subcategories. The forms also include comments from radiation monitors concerning relative levels of exposure.

Special Badge Meter Reports track employee exposure through consecutive badge readings. They include employee names, payroll numbers, reasons for the reports, and results for sensitive and insensitive film categories.

These records are reported to have been found in a water tank at the Mound Plant.
