Series Description: This series consists of correspondence, meeting minutes, progress reports, and handwritten notes maintained or created by Thomas Mancuso regarding the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) Health and Mortality Study (HMS). Of interest are meeting minutes titled Scientific Advisory Committee, AEC Health and Mortality Study, October 22, 1971; reports concerning Hanford's dosimetry program; a proposal to study cancer deaths among Hanford workers; a copy of a paper on the HMS written by Mancuso and presented to the Tenth Midyear Symposium of the Health Physics Society; and a summary of a Congressional hearing of the Subcommittee on Health and Environment, dated February 1978. .
