  DESCRIPTION  This series documents the activities of the Office 
               of the Vice President for Special  Projects, which 
               managed projects outside of the responsibilities 
               of established  schools and academic departments. 
               It includes files on contracts with various 
               Federal  agencies, including the Departments of 
               Agriculture, Health Education and Welfare,  and 
               Defense (Army, Air Force, and Navy), the Office of 
               Scientific Research and  Development, the Atomic 
               Energy Commission, Argonne National Laboratory, 
               the  Clinton Laboratory, du Pont and Monsanto 
               Chemical Companies, and various construction 
               companies. It also contains two files on Project 
               Sunshine. The series consists of letters, 
               memorandums, and reports. A finding aid is 
               available.
