  DESCRIPTION  The series consists of letters, memorandums, and 
               reports compiled by the office to  administer 
               MED/AEC biomedical programs. Included is 
               documentation, much of it  declassified, on MED 
               and early AEC biomedical programs and policies. 
               The series  has material pertaining to the interim 
               medical advisory committee, extensive material  
               pertaining to radioisotope distribution, and other 
               documentation pertinent to human  radiation 
               experimentation. The series is closely related to 
               the Oak Ridge Operations  Office Research and 
               Medicine Division files in the custody of the 
               National Archives.
