Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) SERIES TITLE Records Relating to Proposed Technetium-99 Counting Program INCLUSIVE DATES 1975 1976 ARRANGEMENT None VOLUME 0.3 cubic foot DESCRIPTION The purpose of this proposed experiment was to study the use of technetium-99 to simulate inhaled plutonium-239 aerosol in the lungs. The series contains information such as discussions between LLNL and LBL about the project, including the development of protocols for the experiment, a statement that all 15 adult volunteers would be from LLNL or LBL, and preparation of operating safety procedures that would incorporate protocols for the experiment.
