Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory (LBL) SERIES TITLE John W. Gofman Files INCLUSIVE DATES 1950 1959 ARRANGEMENT Varies VOLUME 4 cubic feet DESCRIPTION This series documents Gofman's research, which included thyroid studies, cancer and drug research, studies of lipoproteins and atherosclerosis, as well as his professional activities, such as University of California committee work. Records consist of correspondence, patient data, group progress reports, proposals, drafts, papers, questionnaires, follow-up forms, blood shipment lists, case report forms, and references. They are arranged loosely by study, so that most data pertaining to a particular experiment or study in a project is kept in one folder; blood sample information appears to be arranged by source (e.g., doctor providing the blood; other records, such as correspondence and reports, are not arranged systematically).
