Series Description: The Tritium Sampling Records consist of internal communications, computer-generated reports, analytical reports, and correspondence concerning onsite tritium sampling activities, mostly relating to Buildings 750, 776-778, and 881. The internal communications were concerned with the transfer, removal, or disposal of materials containing tritium, including beryllium parts, stainless steel scraps, and gages. They provide building locations, dates, serial numbers of parts under question, smear sampling results in picocuries, and signatures indicating the approval of Radiation Monitoring personnel. The analytical reports have sampling results for unspecified samples from Building 881. This series also includes worksheets titled Stack Sampling Results for Tritium, with results provided in picocuries per cubic meter; Monthly Tritium Smear Survey, which note monitors' names, dates, building and room numbers, and results in picocuries per 100 squared centimeters; and Building 881 Quarterly Tritium Calibrations, which give monitors' names and dates, effluents, buildings, liters per minute, and frequency of calibrations. For related records, see Volume IV. Tritium Sample Transfer Log, 1986-1988. Data Elements: 103, 114, 120, 123-124 |
