Series Description: This series consists largely of correspondence generated in the aftermath of the May 11, 1969, fire in Buildings 776/777. The correspondence primarily focuses on the ability of Benelex (a plexiglass substance used in gloveboxes) to withstand fire. Also included in the files are press releases, reports regarding onsite and offsite monitoring, and maps indicating the location of air sampling devices.
