Series Description: The Environmental Sampling Records consist of raw data, worksheets, charts, and graphs documenting the bacterial, chemical, and radioactivity levels of samples collected both onsite and offsite. Materials sampled were trench, mound, and landfill soil; laundry, foot drain, building sump, boiler feed, pond, well, and sewage water; stack, effluent, and ambient air; and milk from local farms. Sample results are recorded in disintegrations per minute and picocuries per milligram and liter. Offsite locations from which samples were collected include Arvada, Boulder, Broomfield, Coal Creek, Denver, Golden, Great Western, Lafayette, Standley, Westminster, and the Wagner School. Some of the worksheets are titled Chlorine Residual and Bacteriological Reports; Tritium Analysis Reports; Effluent Air Filters; Routine Environmental Water Samples; Ambient Air Filters; Site Surveys; Daily Surface Water; and Evaporator Tritium. Also included are binders of raw data devoted to a single method of analysis or physical property. These are labeled TOC [Total Organic Carbon], COD [Chemical Oxygen Demand], IC [Ion Chromatograph], and NO3 as N [Nitrate as Nitrogen].
