Series Description: Assembly/Disassembly Site Returns, or Site Return Cards, accompanied pits and weapon components which were returned to Rocky Flats for disassembly and reuse or retirement. The cards include shop travelers, which record steps taken to disassemble pits or components. These contain such data as part and serial numbers, part description codes, classification levels, drawing or specification document numbers, employee identification numbers, dates received, reasons returned (i.e., retired, "SRP," site reject, or other), test results documenting component disintegration or damage, and visual inspection results. The series also contains computer-generated reports which track the addition and subtraction of units from the nuclear materials inventory. Returns may have come from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Lawrence Radiation Laboratory (now Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory), or Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory (now Los Alamos National Laboratory).
