Series Description: This series consists of records relating to the initiation of processes to enrich isotopes through laser separation. The program to study the effectiveness and use of these processes was a joint effort involving Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), the Hanford Site, and Rocky Flats. Included in the series are engineering analyses, feasibility studies, memoranda, presentation materials, design calculations, program plans, costs estimates, budget plans, progress reports, and compatibility test results. Many of the reports were prepared by LLNL. Rocky Flats' role in this program was to supply the process components and test the end products. Subjects relating to the plant include metal processing and handling, support systems, scheduling, and space requirements. Floor plans for Building 371 and process flow charts are included.
