Series Description: The Health Protection Appraisal and Audit Records consist of correspondence, notes, and raw data sheets relating to the findings and conclusions of internal audits. According to the records, most of the audits were conducted to meet the requirements of Department of Energy (DOE) Order 5480.1 (Environment, Safety, and Health Program for DOE Operations), DOE Order 5482.1 (Environment, Safety, and Health Appraisal Program), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards. Among the subjects investigated were supplied air, health protection and equipment, and other occupational safety matters.
