Series Description: This report summarizes the annual radioactivity assays of White Oak Lake mud conducted between 1950 and 1952 and estimates the maximum radioactivity downstream in the event of a dam failure. It details sampling procedures and equipment, laboratory procedures, calculations, results, estimated downstream activity, and the assumptions used to formulate the estimate. The report also includes graphs and tables of mud radioactivity data that indicate sample numbers, analysis amount x 10-2microcuries/gram, dry weight, and microcuries/square foot.

Data Elements: 81, 89, 103, 124
