Series Description: These annual progress reports summarize the major activities of the Health Physics Division. They include sections on waste disposal research and engineering; radiation dosimetry; internal dosimetry; education, training, and consultation; and applied health physics. Information and data pertaining to the disposal and monitoring of radioactive waste include treatment, burial, fixation, disposal in wells and salt formations, and sorption and retention. Ecological research and related cooperative projects are cited. Cesium-137, strontium-90, cobalt-60, and ruthenium-106 are frequently mentioned contaminants.
