Series Description: This report summarizes the 1991 results of various ion-exchange decontamination methods used on process waste (PW) and low-level liquid waste (LLLW). Cesium is a major component of LLLW and can also be found in PW. Current storage methods (tanks) are briefly discussed, but the bulk of the report covers the results of the tested decontamination methods, including "hexacyanoferrate (II) compounds," "Batch Kd," "Ion-exchange column tests," and "Resin elution." Cesium is measured in milligrams per liter (mg/l) and becquerels per liter (Bq/l).
