Series Description: The Z Books contain lists of persons issued Z numbers by Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The Z numbers serve as identification numbers for LANL employees. In two of the four binders the employees are listed alphabetically by surname; in the other two binders the same employees are listed in numerical order by Z number. Each list contains employee names; Z, social security, and clearance numbers; birthdates; and sex.
