Series Description: This record series consists of copies of Internal Revenue Service Form 941 for employees of the Monsanto Chemical Corporation, which operated the Mound Plant as DOE's contractor until 1991. Form 941 is a quarterly report of wages taxable under the Federal Insurance Contributions Act (for Social Security). The files include lists of employees with the following information: employee names, social security numbers, taxable wages, states of employment, and names and addresses of employers. The records from 1965 to 1977 do not include taxable wages. The records from 1978 and 1980 are W-2 forms and include employee names, addresses, and social security numbers; employers' names and addresses; wage amounts; and federal, state, and local taxes withheld.
