Series Description: This series consists of working files related to a project undertaken by the Hanford Environmental Health Foundation (HEHF) which examined patterns of work absences among exempt [salaried] and nonexempt [hourly wage] PNL employees at Hanford. This was known as the Timeout Study. Included in the files are HEHF's return-to-work clearance policy; a statement regarding data abstraction procedures; follow-up analysis of the study with conclusions; handwritten notes concerning methods of analysis followed during the project; and computer-generated reports which list employee names, dates of absences, and reasons for absences. The reports also contain a section on the general work history of some individual employees. Data in the records are from 1984 through 1986.
