Series Description: This series consists primarily of written procedures, commonly referred to as M-Documents. The records provide step-by-step instructions for all manufacturing, assembly, and inspection processes in production operations at Rocky Flats. Each document contains a title of the process, an "M" number, revision number (if applicable), effective date, buildings where activities took place, types of equipment and chemicals used, appropriate approval signatures, and a corresponding "M" drawing number. A weapon program number is also on the document. Process Operation Sheet and Product/Process Change Authorization numbers were provided if the procedure or final product specifications had undergone revisions. Some of the documents are referred to as "D" or "QT" documents. These are essentially the same as "M"-documents, but either are draft procedures (D) or refer to specific procedures (QT).
