Epidemiologic Studies
This site provides access to detailed information about records useful for worker or community health-related studies found at selected DOE sites. Each guide has the same fundamental structure, including records series descriptions, information concerning records access, and the methodology used to inventory the records. In 1978, DOE launched a comprehensive search for documents related to U.S. nuclear weapons testing, fallout, and radiation monitoring. Many relevant documents have been collected, inventoried, declassified (where possible), and made publicly available at the Coordination and Information Center in Las Vegas, NV. Access to this collection is available via Opennet. This search effort identified an extraordinary volume of materials held in many government and private facilities across the nation. This site provides information about many valuable fallout-related collections that exist outside of the CIC.
