Series Description: Process Operation Sheets (POSs) were used to document step-by-step instructions for assembly processes. They include part numbers and descriptions; raw materials descriptions, shapes and specifications; tool crib numbers; POS revision numbers; tooling information; machine groups; operation descriptions; times of operations; and operator numbers. Diagrams and drawings included in the POS packets illustrate the operation steps and provide narrative descriptions of the steps and the weapons program numbers for which the assemblies were used. According to the records, some of the POS packets were obsolete and were superseded by more recent drawings, Engineering Orders, or plant orders. Data Elements: 16, 88-89, 114, 117 |
