Series Description: This series consists of correspondence requesting and giving approval for changes to production instructions and procedures and to components which did not meet specified standards. Rocky Flats engineers primarily wrote to Lawrence Radiation Laboratory (now Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory), Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory (now Los Alamos National Laboratory), Oak Ridge, and Sandia for approval. The requests indicate the document, procedure, or drawing numbers and corresponding word changes; reference manual changes; and similar requests. For parts which deviated from specifications, authorizations were given for shipment and use. For related records, see Volume IV.
