Series Description: This series consists of a variety of records which document the planning of construction and renovation for the Plutonium Recovery and Waste Treatment Facilities (Buildings 371/374 and 771/774). Records include correspondence, architectural drawings, blueprints, computer-generated data, cost projections, consulting agreements, historical files, quality assurance and inspection reports, seismic study reports, internal memoranda, and meeting minutes. Accession Number 434-92-0053 has the contract proposal, engineering schedule, and cost data (Box 202741); correspondence pertaining to the purchase of radiation safety equipment (Box 202767); and photographs of Building 371/374 in 1975 (Box 202756). Additionally, Accession Number 434-81-0010 contains documentation of interim construction changes and black-and-white photographs of areas targeted for renovation in Building 771/774.
