Series Description: The Quality Assurance Audit Records, generated by the contractor, document the monitoring and correction of "unsafe conditions/actions" in various onsite organizations and facilities. Among the types of records found in each audit file are procedures manuals for the departments or functions being audited, procedures manuals for the audit, final reports, and statements of corrective actions taken to rectify the problem. Problems identified during the audits frequently resulted from non-compliance with DOE or other governmental regulations rather than from specific accidents or incidents. Among the subjects, job functions, or departments for which there are individual audit files are Engineering Orders; Operating, Training, and Certification; Oxnard Facility Quality Operations; Compatibility Evaluation and Use Requirements for Process Material; Waste Management; Material Packing, Shipping and Transportation; Safety Meeting Audit; and Verification of Low Level Waste.
