Series Description: This series consists of logs, sign-in sheets, and permits that authorize and document work in high radiation areas. Information includes requestor name and department; worker name, social security number, and originating department; protective clothing and equipment requirements; dosimetry requirements; radiation levels in work area; level and duration of exposure; and monitoring requirements. Dose data includes penetrating radiation and extremity exposure data in milliroetgens per hour (mr/hr), skin exposure in rads per hour, and estimates for job and individual collective doses in man-rem. Records indicate if exposure levels meet ALARA [As Low As Reasonably Achievable] standards for workers exposed to more than 100 mr/hr.
