Series Description: The records in this series document an exchange program between the United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK) in which the US provided uranium to the UK and the UK provided plutonium to the US. The primary documents in the series are Analytical and Process Data forms which certify the quality of material sent to the UK. Data on the forms include "cans" serial numbers; dates materials were canned; gross, "OY," U-235, and uranium isotope weights; percentages of total uranium; upper and lower limits of uranium, lithium, boron, and fluorine; serial numbers of the inner and outer shipping containers; and dates the "cans" were packed. Certification forms acknowledge the quality and purity of the material being sent and contain shipment reference numbers, shipping dates, and management signatures. Related records include bills of lading, testing procedures, shipment reports for materials coming from the UK, memoranda, meeting minutes, and material identification count and weight sheets. These sheets contain alpha background levels in counts per minute; dates; operator numbers; and specifications for materials, packaging, and shipping. The Pantex Facility was the intermediary for the exchange program between Rocky Flats and the UK.
