Series Description: This series contains three types of records concerning the use of gage drawings in weapons production: transmittal memoranda, approval letters, and Complete Engineering Releases (CERs). The transmittal memoranda accompanied drawings sent by Rocky Flats to other Department of Energy facilities. The approval letters were issued by Los Alamos National Laboratory, which was in charge of approving both gage drawings and gages used in production processes. CERs were issued to release gage drawings for use after initial issuance or revisions. Information on the CERs includes release dates, drawing and serial numbers, gage types, equipment control levels, reasons for releases or revisions, and CER numbers. Data Elements: 89 |
