Series Description: This series documents the development of the Sentry Safety Award Program, which was initiated by Rockwell "to measure performance and encourage achievement in the areas of Industrial Safety, Loss Prevention, Nuclear Safety, Radiation Safety, and Environmental Protection." Included are transparencies and slide descriptions (but not the slides) used in presentations to explain the Sentry program to employees; quarterly reports which list the number of safety problems detected onsite (e.g., criticality incidents, type "B" exposures, permanent disabling injuries, above standard radioactive releases, fire or property loss, etc.); informational pamphlets regarding the program; results of a questionnaire distributed to four hundred employees used to measure the program's effectiveness; and correspondence and internal memoranda about revisions to the program.
