Series Description: This series consists of a variety of records created, collected, and maintained for a special program titled the Medical Monitoring of Former and Current Radiation Workers (originally called the Worker Recall Program). The purpose of this program was to monitor the health of, and study the incidence of cancer among, current and former employees. The series contains correspondence; field work proposals; advisory committee notes; meeting minutes; study progress reports submitted to federal and international agencies; an alphabetical file of death certificates; and a reading file concerning the history of dosimeters and dosimeter reading procedures. Also included are lists of employees diagnosed with cancer since 1952. These lists provide employee names, building assignments, job classifications, medical histories, bioassay results, and types of cancer. In addition, the series has computer-generated reports which summarize data found in employee medical files.
