Series Description: This series is presently being prepared for retirement. Record types include blueprints-as-built, equipment layouts, memoranda, reports, and correspondence. Of interest to the 1957 project are three folders titled 1957 Fire, 1957 Fire Building 771 9-11-57, and Fire and Contamination Building 771 9-11-57. A March 13, 1958, draft titled Determination of Contamination From Rocky Flats Plant In the Environs-Interim Report, by S. E. Hammond, details the total alpha activity of water samples; the total alpha activity of Standley Lake and Great Western Reservoir; pulse height analyses other than vegetation; and the total activity of vegetation within the Rocky Flats Plant. Correspondence describes recommendations for fire protection improvement. Approved architectural drawings of Building 71, dated 1952, may also be found as well as a Supplementary Report on Fire in Building 71, September 11, 1957.
