Radiation Exposure Records, 1945-1960Location: Active:
Originating Office: Clinton Laboratory; Reynolds Electrical and Engineering Company Finding Aids: Shelf list Disposition Authority: Unscheduled Series Description: This record series contains radiation exposure and physical examination records of employees from Clinton Laboratory (now the Oak Ridge National Laboratory), Reynolds Electrical and Engineering Company (REECo) at the Nevada Test Site, and other sites and facilities. The records from 1945-1948 include employee lists, which provide employee names, workplaces, dates of readings, dosage levels, and badge numbers. Included with these lists are examination report forms, which provide medical examination dates; employee names; X-ray, bloodcount, urinalysis, vision test, and physical examination results; medical histories; and Clinton National Laboratory urinalysis and hematology findings. The records from 1954-1956 consist of exposure readings from film, badge, and pocket dosimeters. Records from 1960 contain radiation exposure records of REECo employees and include employee names, identification numbers, and exposure levels in millirems. On the outside of the manila envelope in which the records are stored is a note that states, "Films from LANL that were filmed by REECo and copies also at LANL."
