Originating Office: LANL, Occupational Medicine Group, Epidemiology; Mound Finding Aids: Shelf list Disposition Authority: Unscheduled Series Description: Records in Cabinet 8, Shelf 1, include: a list of deceased employees with social security numbers and dates and places of death; a March 1978 telephone directory for the Mound facility with employee names, work locations, and telephone numbers; a Monsanto Chemical Corporation organizational chart from April 1978 with employee names and telephone numbers; data inventory sheets describing various databases created from Mound data and descriptions of types of data used, including employee names, social security and health physics numbers, birthdates, and hire and termination dates; a report pertaining to Monsanto employees, titled Personnel at Risk in Plutonium-238 Operations and dated August 1971, which includes employee names, social security numbers, and lung and systemic burden readings in nanocuries; correspondence between the Epidemiology Section and the Health Physics Operations Manager at Monsanto, dated 1978-1979, regarding the Health Study of Workers in the Nuclear Industry, the issue of protection of privacy related to the filming of personnel records, and the methods used for data entry. Records on Shelf 3 include two binders of additional correspondence, status reports on the Mound studies, and some updated study data. These two binders are titled Mound and Mound - Final Data.
