               searches; scientific journal reprints and 
               preprints by  both Tobias and others; 
               correspondence; grant applications,  research 
               proposals and reports; instructional material; 
               student  theses and dissertations; recommendations 
               for students, faculty  and staff; experimental 
               data; materials related to various  Lawrence 
               Berkeley Laboratory (LBL) organizations; LBL 
               publications; documents related to Tobias' 
               committee work on the Light  Ion Biomedical 
               Research Accelerator (LIBRA) and his Directorship 
               at the Advanced Biomedical Science and Treatment 
               Center  (ABC); and Biology and Medicine Division 
               staff files. This  series also includes

               catalogs, technical reports and papers, patents, 
               notebooks,  experimental logbooks, and 
               transcriptions of Sally Smith Hughs'  oral history
