Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory (LBL)

SERIES TITLE John W. Gofman Files

  INCLUSIVE DATES 1950 1959

  ARRANGEMENT Varies

  VOLUME 4 cubic feet

DESCRIPTION This series documents Gofman's research, which
included thyroid studies, cancer and drug
               research, studies of lipoproteins and
atherosclerosis, as well as his professional
activities, such as University of California
               committee work. Records consist of
               correspondence, patient data, group progress
               reports, proposals, drafts, papers,
               questionnaires, follow-up forms, blood shipment
lists, case report forms, and references. They are
arranged loosely by study, so that most data
pertaining to a particular experiment or study in
a project is kept in one folder; blood sample
information appears to be arranged by source
(e.g., doctor providing the blood; other records,
such as correspondence and reports, are not
               arranged systematically).
